Party

"I want Melissa and roman and wembles to come over for a party-and Erin and uncle mark too" Kylie has such a love for our friends. It is so much fun to see her with them!

Santa Claus

After school in the car Kylie said "Daddy daddy! Santa drive school bus!" This morning while counting school buses on the way to school we saw Santa  driving a school bus. Kylie was SO excited!  "Santa drive school bus! ... Mommy we go see Santa in the snow ... Go to school first? ... Drive to the snow? Daddy and baby brother and mommy and Kylie drive to the snow?"

Skid mark

Kylie came home home from school with dirty underwear in a bag, but the rest of her clothes were not dirty. Dad "Kylie what happened to your underwear?" Kylie "I just got a skid mark in them" .... Like father like daughter -haha

Big sister love

I am sad-and in love at the same time. Sad because Kylie no longer gives Ryan and I bedtime kisses, only hugs. In love because all her kisses are now reserved for Greg. He love she has for him is more than I ever could have imagined and makes my heart happy every time I witness her slow wrong him with love and kisses.

Exhaustion

Just when Greg figures out how to sleep 4 hour stretches at night he decides not to repeat it when I am so exhausted. Yawn. At least he's sleeping in his crib now! (Ryan has been a HUGE help with the nighttime feedings though-I am very lucky!)

Survival-mode

Grandma E was here and we wouldn't have survived the 1st 2 weeks of Greg's life without her. And now we have survived 3 days without her and can't wait for Grandma D to get here tomorrow. The house apparently had a tornado go through it the past 3 days! I have had some motivation to be productive but Greg eats-a lot-so I spend most of my time in bed or on the couch nursing these days. He gets snuggly after eating which I love though :)

Milking it

Well today Kylie saw me pumping for the 1st time and quickly decided she needed to get milk out of her boobs. She got a dish towel and brought it to  the couch with a small foam football; she said "I get milk from my boobies" and lifted her shirt to put the football at her boob.

Family of 4

Gregory Erskine Dalcolma was born on 9/26/13 at 14:14 - - 6 lbs 8 oz, 20 in. long and a complete bundle of joy. He came into the world starting as a scheduled inducement for Thursday the 26th. We got called to the hospital Wednesday night at 10 to come at 11:30. Once we got admitted and up to labor and delivery our orders were to sleep! Alright! Of course that is easier said than done when 9 months pregnant and attached to all sorts of tubes/wires and you have a baby that was being difficult to monitor without me in certain positions. After my water was broken at 6:30 they came and did my epidural - - it was AWESOME! MUCH stronger than what I had with Kylie - I barely felt any contractions all day which let sleep come easier! My blood pressure, however, did not think the epidural was so awesome and dropped slightly which made Gregory mad so they kept giving me meds to raise the blood pressure and make Greg happy but then couldn't give me the pitocin to speed along the pr...

poopy snake

Last night kiddo was pooping ... when she was done she said it was her poopy snake. She started to jump off the toilet and said she wanted to pet the poopy snake ... luckily I stopped that one ...

Hop Hop Hop!

Exciting week here in Phoenix ... Kylie has gotten hopping down - just like the bunny in her "new" book from the library 'Biscuit and the Class Pet' which we've read no short of a dozen times since Sunday! Tonight she had swim class and is getting better each week with her back floating and listening.  She learned to say "I had a toilet baby" courtesy of one of her parents (I'll give you 3 guesses!). She is also ready for baby brother to come out and play. She asks for him to come out and play almost every day - - tonight she rested her head on my belly and said "Go night-night with baby brother" and gave him a big 'ole kiss at bedtime. A-DOR-ABLE. Hopefully she's not too upset when she realizes he won't be able to play with her for a little while!
Well with 3 1/2 weeks (give or take) to go until we are a family of 4 there is still a lot to do, but Kylie is taking all of my energy! Ryan has been great doing dishes, helping with laundry/cleaning etc. but sometimes I wonder how we're going to manage being parents of 2. Kids are a lot of work! I realized today that I am on the last days of my time being pregnant in my life - we aren't planning to have any more kiddos. 1 girl and 1 boy and we're done! BUT that means I am almost done feeling baby kicks and being unable to bend over easily and having a shelf to eat cereal off of - - kinda makes me sad!

Go Buckeyes!

Bug: Cries at door at 715 Dad: Can you go back to bed for a little bit? Bug: No dad, it's daytime out! We've been doing gymnastics for a couple months now, and she is finally able to do the class without parent help - - listening very well to her Coach! FINALLY - College Football is back!! Go Buckeyes!!! Bug's OSU cheerleading outfit from last year still fits, although it is a big short, as I type this she is spinning in circles LOVING wearing her OSU beads and Buckeye necklace and Ohio State "tutu"!

Here goes nothing!

Well I'm not sure I ever thought I would do a blog, but here goes nothing!  My husband and I have been happily married since 2008.  We have a 2 1/2 year old daughter (our "bug") and I am 35 weeks pregnant with a baby boy! One of the main things I want to use the blog for right now is to keep track of some of the funny things our daughter says  :) August 2013 Mom: Who is your best friend?  Bug: Umm...baby brother!
